SpeedNet Employees:

I just performed a speed test. I am downloading at 1.957 Mbps and uploading at 241 Kbps. I am very satisfied with that level of service. I just configured my Dell Inspiron 1150 notebook with a new SpeedNet connection in order to send and receive email via wi-fi hot spots. I use a HP Pavilion desktop at home.

It's great to not have my telephone line tied up. For the first time in 11 years, I can watch streaming video. A friend is now sending me songs created on an electronic music workstation: .wav and MP3 files of 10 Mb or larger, and they download in mere seconds. I am a professional music keyboardist, and sent that friend a song I recorded using a freeware digital recording studio program. With ATT dialup and speeds as low as 4.9 Kbps, files over 1 Mb were often impossible to download or send due to line disconnects and server timeouts.

I have performed live updates from Microsoft (Windows updates) and Norton Symantec, as well as software upgrades for a number of other programs installed on both computers in a time frame of seconds, not hours.

Thank you for providing "better than wi-fi" service to me. Several of my friends have SpeedNet. Every one of them has nothing but praise for both connect speed and reliability. Keep up the good work! I wish SpeedNet every success.

We have had SpeedNet at both of our offices since SpeedNet first moved to town. It is important for us to have something that is both effective and efficient. We have found it to work exceptionally well. I have been extremely pleased with the speed that we have. SpeedNet in our area can be used almost anywhere; coverage is wide. Cable is not available everywhere and SpeedNet certainly was a better value in terms of cost. If I were to be recommending this, and I have recommended this service to many of my friends, I would say that it works. It works well. And, you get a lot for your money.

We have had SpeedNet since it came to town here in Alpena. It has been 100% reliable all the time. I have hand absolutely no reliability problems whatsoever at home or at my business. Our company used to have a dial-up service and we went to SpeedNet because of an excellent cost savings for productivity for our staff. SpeedNet has been the technology that allows you to search the Internet at such a great speed. Its just unbelievable. We still find that SpeedNet is the best value out there and its technology is at the leading edge. I would recommend SpeedNet as an excellent choice for an Internet provider.
