SpeedConnect Adds New Tower,
Upgrades for Increased Capacity in Williamsburg

Wireless Broadband Provider Continues Iowa Investment

North Liberty, IA – SpeedConnect, a premium wireless broadband provider designed to support higher usage demands, said today it has added a new tower and equipment upgrades in and near Williamsburg, Iowa. These expansion projects complement an existing service coverage area that includes Iowa City, Cedar Rapids, Vinton, Marion, Anamosa, North Liberty, much of the Quad Cities, as well as communities close to these areas. SpeedConnect has also recently added new towers and upgraded capacity in West Branch, Wilton and Tipton, Iowa.

The improvements are live now for all of Williamsburg and some of Parnell, Conroy, Marengo, and South Amana, according to SpeedConnect’s Iowa General Manager Tony Lounsberry: “In addition, we added a new tower at the corner of Y Ave and I-80 to help expand coverage in Williamsburg and South Amana, which also extends coverage into Homestead and Oxford. We’re working hard to remain ahead of the bandwidth demand curve.”

SpeedConnect has spent the last six months investing more than $450,000.00 to upgrade and improve the technology supporting the existing Iowa base, and preparing for further expansion of service availability. SpeedConnect has been a premium wireless broadband provider in Michigan for more than ten years.
